I am a multilingual Bay Area native with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children and adolescents. I have been teaching in a Montessori classroom for over 17 years, about half the time in elementary and half in middle school. Although working in a Montessori classroom gave me many opportunities to work individually with my students, I was often frustrated because I could not always give each one the level of individual attention they needed to thrive.
I am also the parent of four wonderful children who helped me to learn about the world of twice-exceptionality and learning differences. They helped me gain greater insight into my students and to learn different ways to approach struggling learners.
Together, these factors led me to seek out the opportunity to offer individual support to students in need. I greatly enjoy getting to know students deeply so that I understand their strengths and challenges and can truly support them in their journey.
